UNISON, highlighted as the class horse in the race, showed why class is such a massive factor when race reading. One of only two horses with a win in Class 2 or above, jumped the last and asserted like a goodun! The bay gelding made all under Matt Griffiths to score impressively at a very generous 5/1.

DARK ALLIANCE, as predicted, was held up in midfield and produced with a gutsy drive by Edward Greatrex late on to win at 15/8. Barnaby Brook, tagged as the threat, followed the 7yo gelding home.

The only two horses blogged on the day landed a 16/1 double.
