What are sponsored links?
Sponsored links are small non-obtrusive ads that appear to the right-hand side of the main Tip Exchange site. They enable you to advertise your site on every page of Tip Exchange and you only pay for visitors that are interested in your product or service.

How do I Register?
First you need to register for an account. This is free and to do this click on the 'Advertisers sign up' link in the left panel. Fill in the simple registration form and click on the 'proceed' button. Your account will be set up immediately and you will be sent an email to the address you specify in the registration confirming your username and password.

How do I set up a sponsored link?
Once you've registered and logged in, you'll see a number of additional links on in the left panel. To set up a new sponsored link you'll need to click on the 'Create Advert' link. A page will be displayed asking you to specify the Title of your advert, the description and the URL you wish visitors to be directed to. Make sure your advert complies with the Terms and Conditions for advertising. When you've entered the details click on the 'Save' button. Tip Exchange can display up to eight sponsored links in the advertising panel and to help you decide how much to bid, the top 8 bid amounts are shown on the right hand panel. You can create as many adverts as you wish and bid different amounts for each of the adverts. Once you have entered the amount you wish to bid for each keyword click on the 'Bid' button. You can adjust your bids for any of the adverts you have selected at a later date if you wish. Your sponsored links will not be displayed until you have funded your account and will only appear if your bid is high enough to be among the top eight.

How do I fund my account?
You can fund your account online via Paypal. Click on the 'Add Funds' link, enter the amount you wish to deposit and click on the PayPal button. You will automatically be directed to the secure Paypal web site where you can either make payment from your Paypal account or directly from a debit or credit card. Funds will automatically be credited to your account when we receive notification from Paypal that the transaction has been completed successfully. This is usually within seconds of the transaction being completed.

What is the minimum bid per click?
The minimum bid is £0.02 per click.

What is the minimum deposit?
The minimum amount you can deposit is £10.

How many visitors will be sent to my site?
The number of visitors you receive will depend on the amount you bid for each click, as the higher the bid the closer to the top you are, and how interested visitors are in what you have to offer. Tip Exchange receives on average 500 visitors per day which can equate to around 2000 page views. You can view detailed stats on the number of times your ad has been viewed and the number of people that have clicked on it.

What happens if someone clicks on my ad more than once?
We have anti fraud protection in place that detects if someone clicks on your ad more than once. You will not be charged for any subsequent clicks made within a 12 hour period of the original click.

Why is my ad not being displayed?
There are a number of reasons why your ad is not being displayed, these are the most common:
- You haven't funded your account or your account has run out of funds.
- You bid has fallen out of the top eight bids. You will be notified when this happens.
- Your advert has been suspended. If your ad does not adhere to our Terms and Conditions it will be suspended. If this happens we will usually email you and ask you to make the required changes. To prevent this from occurring please make sure you familiarise yourself with the Terms and Conditions.

Please note that the earliest bid takes priority when equivalent bids exist. Therefore it is a 'first come first served' basis on bid priority.
